I applaud Newtown’s actions concerning armed SRO’s. No one in the Administration will admit that the real problem is mentally disturbed people who do bad things. They have simply used a tragedy to further their own political agenda of disarming or so hampering access to a means for our own self-preservation. I always question the motive of those who claim to know better “what I need” than do I.

  2. JASON BUCKWHEAT says:

SMARTEST MOVE EVER MADE IN THE AFTERMATH OF SUCH A TRAGEDY, I ALSO APPLAUD THESE PEOPLE FOR INTELLIGENCE TO SEE THE REAL PROBLEM AND NOT THE ONE PAINTED BY THIS CURRENT ADMINISTRATION. THIS TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENT SAW A CRISIS AND USED FOR THEIR ADVANTAGE, TO STRIPPED AWAY MORE OF OUR RIGHTS.

I applaud the “close the barn door! The horse has got out!” knee jerk but sensible reaction of the people of Newtown – but I decry the idocy of thinking they have to spend vast sums of money and go through channels (One Flush should do it) in order to protect their children – all they have to do is ALLOW their teachers to obtain Concealed Carry permits and bring their own guns to school! Granted, it would make sense that said teacher be required to demonstrate competency and accuracy – but there are plenty of private training facilities that are willing to help. FrontSight.com has already promised to provide FREE training of the highest quality to ANY school that asks! There is no reason to dealy – GIVE TEACHERS THE RIGHT TO CARRY!

CONGRATS TO YOU. THIS WAS THE RIGHT THING
TO DO,PERIOD. GET TRAINING FROM FRONTSIGHT.
More guns do not mean more violence but means
you will have some defense against this in the future
or it will be a deterrent.
FORGET IDIOTS LIKE CUOMO FEINSTEIN, THEY COULD CARELESS. WHY BE DEFENSELESS,WHY SHOULD YOUR KIDS BE LEFT DEFENSELESS, THEY SHOULD NOT.

  5. I’m with you, Gabby Jim! The teachers have already passed the prerequisite criminal background check…just let them carry concealed at school. Offer them FREE or subsidized S.W.A.T.-team-level training in counterterrorist techniques so that they will be of maximum effectiveness when it comes time to react to a potentially explosive operation. Thanks to Paul Jacob for posting the original article…great thoughts on this subject!

  7. A.Men says:

Let Feinstein and obama give us their guns and armed body guards first!

obama should put his daughters’ school in a gun-free zone NOW!

  8. Mandy says:

    RIGHT ON!
Logical! Agree with every point! I do, however, feel it will be quite expensive and teachers or current employees could have the training? But I don’t even know where to begin to require it, ask it, etc. I doubt this will be enough to get attention, this horrific act just set them in motion and I don’t know what will stop them. I really hope they can be reached but the obvious outcry of the citizens of this country. Another question? As they tell “us” that we don’t need the guns, that we are safer without. Where does the funding that puts those armed guards on our politicians come from? You mean to tell me that I can’t protect myself and my family but you intend to TAKE MY MONEY to protect yourself?
