Deep Thinker Kerry

Sharing

Comparing Friday’s horrific shootings by Islamist terrorists to the events of last January, one-time presidential candidate John Kerry noted that there is “something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo. . . . There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of — not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, ‘OK, they’re really angry because of this and that.’ This Friday was absolutely indiscriminate. It wasn’t to aggrieve [sic] one particular sense of wrong. It was to terrorize people. It was to attack everything that we do stand for.”

Yes, Kerry pulled himself out of the fire pretty fast, but, even if he earnestly believes that (as Reason characterized it) “killing cartoonists is less appalling than killing concertgoers,” this was a thought better left unexpressed.

What could Kerry have been thinking?

Here’s a guess: John Kerry sees himself as a reasonable man. Reasonable men try to understand things. And in the course of trying to understand things, a reasonable man will likely explore all sorts of ideas, make uncomfortable comparisons, follow challenging arguments wherever they lead.

But Mr. Kerry does have a job: Secretary of State. This makes him a key mouthpiece for the United States of America . . . to the world, and about world events.

A Secretary of State should know that standing up for rights is his public duty. It is not spinning theories about motivation that could ominously pass as justification for slaughtering some folks but not others.

His statement may betray him mid-thought, but hey: “everything we stand for” includes free speech and the press.

This is Common Sense. I’m Paul Jacob.

The immediate problem the Paris attack generated is the animosity toward refugees. Shades of the Jewish 1938 refugees.

…. What could Kerry have been thinking …?

Wrong question!

Correct one?

Could Kerry have been thinking?

Answer?

No!

As do so many of his State-Department brahmanas colleagues and as does his boss, Barry, dangerously-dullard second-generation-traitor, Jean-François Kohn-Thorne-Thierstein Simões-Ferreira-Heinz Kerry has at best a room-temperature IQ and is incapable of having ideas and/or of of forming thoughts.

Home to 25,000-or-so of the world’s most attractive employers – every one of which gets to comprehensively strip-fish the talent pool before the government gets to bottom-fish and dredge for what’s Left, America is more dreadfully than most Americans would be willing to believe, “served” and “represented” (and particularly in the State Department and “foreign service”) by the world’s most uniformly-stupid and mean-spirited “public servants.”

As are epitomised in the hapless Kerry, in the as-dangerously-dullard Missus Billy-Goat Blythe — and in the present pretender to what passes as his “presidency.”

Back when Kerry was running against GW Bush for President, they kept talking about how smart (and nuanced!) Kerry was and what doofus Bush was.  At the time, Kerry refused to provide his military records.  Everybody thought it had to do with Kerry’s so-called battle wound.  After the election, Kerry’s military record was released.  The real prize in those records was Kerry’s Yale college transcript. It showed that Bush had a better grade point average at Yale than Kerry.  They were both solid “C-average” students.  To quote George Costanza:  “Not showing off; but not falling behind either”.

Cartoonists are not combatants, or in close proximity to them as to be “reasonably anticipated collateral damage”.
These actions violate every rule of “civilized” war, most probably because war itself is anything but civilized.
ISIL is at war with western civilization and all other religions, including all less radical Islam, and it is time to face it. France and Russia appear to have come to the conclusion this is war and to act accordingly. It is hard to the correctness of their conclusion, or acting on it.
Sadly it appears ISIL is as evil, militant and perverse as the German Nazi abomination of the last century and will, by its aggression, force itself to suffer the same fate.

So, there aren’t any Islamic terrorists, Mr. Wright? Every time one of them lets loose on a crowd, it’s just a concoction of “fraud media”?
