The Primary Lie

Are we being lied to?

Donald J. Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee for president. So presumes the news media and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, because all those delegates are bound to vote for Trump on the first ballot.

But what if Republican delegates convening this July aren’t bound. That’s the compelling case made by a new book, Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delegate,* written by Curly Haugland and Sean Parnell.

How does modern America get something so wrong, when it’s written down in black-and-white? Politicians don’t read the bills they enact and, apparently, politicos don’t read their party rules.

Except crazy ol’ Curly Haugland. The Republican National Committeeman from North Dakota reads and understands: convention delegates choose the nominee. In so doing, they are free to vote their conscience, unbound by primary or caucus votes, state party rules or even state law.

This information should anger voters. Political parties have a right to their own process, certainly, but not to pretend primary voters determine the winner, when they don’t.

Why the deception?

Well, the insiders and big-time consultants, with sway at RNC headquarters, make millions on TV ad buys. Not so for a nomination determined by core activists at a state convention, who aren’t susceptible to the expensive tricks of the modern political trade.

The media has a financial interest, too — in more readers, listeners and viewers. If primaries are known as merely “beauty contests,” they fear folks will tune out, along with paying advertisers.

Instead, tune in, turn on and download Unbound. Find out what the media and the RNC won’t tell you.

This is Common Sense. I’m Paul Jacob.

What’s the beef, Paul? The “system” worked totally in Donald Trump’s favor. Those winner-take-all states, intended to help the “chosen” one allowed The Pretender to win the nomination with barely over 40% of the vote. But make no mistake, the voters made the decision, and I don’t think even the “establishment” power brokers are going to dare undermine things, rules or no rules. So who is REALLY getting disenfranchised here? The nearly 60% of Republican voters who voted AGAINST Trump. We got screwed, because we couldn’t make our mind up about a single candidate, even though it was clear that a majority of voters wanted someone other than what we got. So a minority rules here. A minority of voters. The Elites won’t stop it. Their fatal mistake was allowing him to partake of the Republican Primary and Caucus process at all. Hindsight may be 20/20, but it tells us that the best thing the Party could have done was to look at Trump’s progressive liberal history, multiple donations to the worst faces of the Democrat Party and told him “your FIRED” before the races even began. Letting him run independently would have handicapped him far more than was presumed at the time. Now he owns the whole ball of wax. How sad for America.

If delegates aren’t bound, they can withhold their votes at the convention.  If the GOP tries that method to keep from awarding the nomination to Trump, their party will be destroyed!  If the globalists, including the Bilderbergers, and fighting to keep Trump from being elected, clearly the American people need to get solidly behind him and present such on overwhelming force behind the delegates at the convention that the GOP won’t DARE pull any shenanigans!

We’re sick of the globalists having their way with America!  Obama has been the puppet of “Globalist of the Year in 2010” award winner George Soros, the financier of the anarchists demonstrating against Trump during his campaign events.  Soros is using illegal aliens to break down national barriers, and paying them to create civil disobedience so his puppet Obama will be justified in declaring martial law and blocking the 2016 election.  And Congress does virtually nothing because 90% of them are globalists also!  The list is available on NumbersUSA.  Anyone with a D or an F grade on immigration issues is pro-illegal and anti-American worker!  Anyone wonder why wages have been stagnant for 30 years, ever since Reagan passed the 1986 amnesty for 6.6 million illegals? It’s because the powers-that-be have been trying to drive down American wages so we can compete with Third World slave wages!

Your post is so full of misunderstanding and shows Just the type of thinking that leads to far greater problems. I would not know where to begin but I would beg you to look at research from better sources than the Tanton Group. I fear that the reason for the Trump support is largely because of his anti immigrant position. (and NO, the Tanton group is against all immigration, legal or illegal). Read the pro immigration side and evaluate it also. From anti immigration to Protectionism, and alack of value for basic freedoms, Trump is as bad as Hillary. In fact I would say worse as he would change the foundational freedoms. Hillary would just play dirty politics.
