Feel like Charlie Brown? That football . . . yanked away again.
Yesterday, FBI Director James Comey announced he’s not recommending prosecution of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate.
“Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information,” Comey stated, “our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.” He saw the evidence as not strong enough, “especially regarding intent.”
It doesn’t appear that Mrs. Clinton purposely divulged classified material, though her “intent” in setting up a private server for State Department work was self-centered, and purposely not transparent. She was clearly more concerned with shielding her communications from the U.S. Government and the public, than shielding classified information from the Russians, Chinese, Iranians or ISIS.
While the FBI noted that Clinton and her aides lacked any apparent intent “to violate laws governing the handling of classified information,” the investigation discovered ample “evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.”
Not a sterling report card for someone seeking to be the commander-in-chief.
Donald Trump’s negative standing with voters, 70 percent disapproval in a recent survey, may save Mrs. Clinton. Still, standing in her way remains the fact that a majority of voters just don’t trust her.
That won’t change with yesterday’s news.
“Key assertions by Hillary Clinton in defense of her email practices have collapsed under FBI scrutiny,” read the lead of an Associated Press story, detailing six public statements made by her that the investigation found to be false.
Let’s split the difference: neither prosecute Hillary nor elect her president.

I think our entire government is so corrupt there is no hope. Couple that with the stupidity of a small majority of the voters and we can foreast doom for the land given us by the founding fathers.
She is destined to be the NON-Commander-in-Chief, just as the present one is, and she will do more to advance his agenda, which is that of the one at the center of the circle–satan!
What the FBI is essentially saying is that the Hilldog, “didn’t intend to violate laws”; she just didn’t give a $hit if she did.
Meanwhile, while the crooks and liars and power hungry think they are “winning” and congratulate themselves for their political successes, the world is changing much for the better. Unnoticed by these skim scam people, the world is casting them aside and finding ways to circumvent their damaging road blocks. The world is better by the efforts of those engaged in honest market activities. The future in this new world is bright.
Let’s see, if I had done what she has done I would be spending 20 years + in federal prison, like starting tomorrow. As I’ve said before, Hillary Clinton makes Rosa Klebb look like Mary Poppins.
It was a given that Hillary would never spend a day behind bars. At the very least, she would have received a pardon. What I don’t understand is the idea that there was no intent. Didn’t the very act of setting up a private server for government business (as opposed to all her e-mails about Chelsea’s shower and wedding) demonstrate intent to violate laws about government records? Didn’t wiping the server when an investigation was underway indicate a desire to obstruct justice?
If intent must be demonstrated before someone can be indicted then there should be no covictions for murder that is not premeditated. There should be no conviction for ‘vehicular homicide’ if you are driving under the influence and accidentally kill someone. According to Comey’s reasoning, getting behind the wheel after having a drink or two may have been ‘extreme carelessness’ but it didn’t demonstrate intent to harm someone. Give the person a ticket and send him on his way.
What do the Clintons have on Comey? Or could it be he just didn’t want to end up on the *Clinton Body Count* list?
